CHAPELHILL

Occoneechee Mountain

12:15 PM

BABES! I don't know how I went the past 4-5 years Chapel Hill and didn't discover this wonderful & magical get away simply 20 minutes away. I mean, look. at. this. view! You wouldn't even guess that we were anywhere near Chapel Hill.

Occoneechee Mountain has a number of trails ranging from 2-3 miles and the best one leads to the overlook that you see in the picture above. It is just beautiful right now because all of the leaves are changing color. If you're in the Chapel Hill area, I highly recommend you go!

It's located at: 625 Virginia Cates Road
Hillsborough, NC 27278

Here's a little video of what the overlook view is like

I'm following NC State Park's on Instagram to see more of what NC has to offer.

Any parks/hiking trails that are your favorites in the NC area?

I love discovering new state parks! Over my school's fall break, I recently hiked in Chimney Rock State Park in Lake Lure. I loved it!
