December Goals Recap

9:00 AM

December was the first time that I publicized goals that I had for myself and it was extremely inspiring and motivating to do!

Here's my recap of these goals! The ones I have crossed off are the ones I managed to accomplish.

  1. Create personalized Christmas cards
  2. Finish a book
  3. Pursue cello opportunities
  4. Start an investment portfolio
  5. Become a better cook
  6. Throw a Christmas Party
  7. Finish a codecademy course
  8. Go on a sleigh ride
  9. Go ice-skating
  10. Make homemade ornaments/cookies
 >> 2 "Finish a book": I actually finished 5 books in the month of December! The Alchemist, The Art of Social MediaLife and Other Near-Death Experiences, Contagious: Why Things Catch On, and Whole 30  and I thoroughly enjoyed each of them!

>>3"Pursue cello opportunities": I was asked to play my cello in a Christmas performance by a lady I didn't know very well and it turned out to be a great blessing. Saying "yes" opened up doors for me both spiritually and professionally. And, of course playing the cello always brings me great joy. I also turned down some cello opportunities that I now regret and have made a new goal for 2016 concerning this.

>>4 "Start an investment portfolio": I didn't really "start" my investment portfolio but I did talk to a financial advisor so I consider this goal complete! I'd highly advise you guys to do the same, it's really eye-opening especially into the world of "adult responsibilities".

>>5 "Become a better cook" : I can cross this off my list because my boyfriend has been complimenting my cooking consistently :)

>>7 "Finish a codecademy course": I finished the "HTML/CSS" course on Codecademy and had so much fun doing it! I'd highly recommend you guys to check it out, it's completely free.

>>10 "Make homemade cookies": I had two rounds of making Christmas cookies and probably gained 5 pounds because of it. But boy were they good! Check out my post for them here --> Christmas Cookie Tips

I'm so excited for my January goals and hope to cross off everything on that list!

  14. I loved that you completed a lot of your goals last month. I've been really interested in investments. So one of my goals this year is to get more information on how to do it and what's the best way to go about it.

  15. Congrats on accomplishing so many of your December goals! I had the intention of creating personalized Christmas cards last month as well, but I failed and ended up buying them because I waited until the last minute. That's so awesome that you read five books last month! That's such an awesome accomplishment. And completing your cello goal is so incredible since it was such an unexpected thing. Yay!
